Our PatM, known to many of you from her fan fiction books and stories, passed away peacefully, in the hospital on November 16, 2010. This is a lovely tribute. Thank you for spreading the word. I wish I had the chance to thank her for the hours of entertainment her Darcy fan fiction has provided me.

I was very shocked when I heard the news. We were great friends. We used to read each other's writing and she would always comment on mine.

Even though we don't know each other personally we did sort of get attached to each sister in Firth. May she rest in our Lord's eternal peace.

I enjoyed all her fanfic on Meryton.com. I will miss you, dearest PatM...you and your stories  I remember a conversation we once had on the boards in which I complimented you on your stories and style and you complimented me on my knowledge of English... May you rest in peace  |

I am sad. I didn't know Pat, but I enjoyed her stories very much. My prayers and condolences I send to her family and friends.
It's funny but I just saw her name as I was looking for a story a few days ago and came across one of hers. I hadn't realized she was absent from the boards for awhile. She used to be a very active member here. She will be missed.

One of the things that I will always remember is that the first book I received out of 3 I ordered from Amazon very recently (about 4 weeks ago) was 'Beloved' . I forgot who the authors of the book were and when I unpacked this one the firth thing that struck me that it was written by you! I knew I liked your style from the stories I read, Pat....but I loved this book and will cherish it! |
