I'm still shocked by the news I learned on Tuesday. I'm so glad I could meet her a few times in person and I always enjoyed the communication we had on fb or other media. I will miss her tremendously and will always remember that she was the one who brought me here and encouraged me to join you here. Rest in peace my dear Annie.
Let me post here some last farewell a close friend of Annie just wrote on her fb site:
"Dear friends of Annie Stieglitz
It is with great sadness that I'm writing on Annie's Facebook page to let those of you who don't yet know, that Annie passed away last Tuesday afternoon. She had been diagnosed with motor neuron disease last November and was unable to speak so you, her FB friends, were her whole life and brought her great joy and support. She took control right at the end and wrote on her iPad asking for her oxygen mask to be removed and slipped peacefully away.
I understand there has been an enormous number of tributes in the form of photos, films, memories and messages of condolences by which all of her closest friends are deeply moved. We thank you all for the happiness you gave her."

Such very sad news which at some stage we expected...but not so soon... I first met Annie at a Colin Firth event at the London Tabernacle for The People Speak presentation evening with Colin and other celebrity guests attending on 16th September 2012. After that we met with other 'Firthies' for various other Colin events in London, Brussels, and Zurich. A very special occasion on the 4th December 2013 was when we were privileged to meet Colin again at the London Premiere of The Railway Man and were invited to attend the After Party in Pall Mall. Colin was as gracious and obliging as ever and spoke to us and patiently posed for photographs. Annie was thrilled with the beautiful photo she had taken with him...the one posted on this thread. Annie was always fun to be with and whenever we met we usually celebrated with a bottle or glass of Prosecco! She was always very caring and generous and willingly shared her many photos and videos of Colin for us all to enjoy. I treasure them and watch the videos often. Now Rest In Peace dear friend and fellow Firthie...Thankyou for being you and thankyou for all the happy memories ..... I will never forget you...I will miss you here and on Facebook and particularly our meetings in London... ❤️

This is incredibly sad news indeed. Annie was such a devoted CF fan, and such an integral part of FS. I always enjoyed her postings about her CF encounters in London. RIP, Annie.

I'm so sad too for this loss. I chatted sometimes in Facebook with her and followed her posts. I obviously know her first of all here and she was part of my virtual circle of friend although I never met her in person. I know she was ill but I thought she could recover. May she rest in peace. Ciao dear Annie
