I am still in shock from Anne's passing. I had been thinking so much of Bubbles lately, not sure why, maybe some of you remember when Bubbles used to post? She had health issues, was unable to post very often. So I had been thinking of her, wondering how she is, and, bam, you hit me with Anne's passing. Annie2shoes, thank you for the pictures you have posted. To Anne's family, friends, and loved ones: may Gods grace sustain you in the difficult days ahead. Please know that we loved Anne. Terri

Is there any way that those of us not on Facebook, can send condolences to the family?

O no, I'm shocked, what sad news. I can't believe it. Anne was such a nice person, she was always here, every day. Thank you Anne, for your many, interesting contributions! We will miss you badly. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends! Rest in peace, dear Anne!

This is terribly sad news. After years of seeing her name and reading her wonderful contributions to the board, I feel as if I have lost a friend.

I should write them here, Colincrazy - I am hoping Lisa will make this thread public, so her daughters and family can see it.
Thank you, aureliabennet - yes it was Trauma, Anne spoke about that picture often.

Ladies, by request, I have merged the 2 threads, so we can make sure all of our members know of dear Anne's passing. I will move the entire post to our permanent Memorial thread in a month or so. Please be advised that I have opened up the forum, temporarily, so Anne's daughters and other family members can read all of your wonderful, kind, loving posts. Thank you, ladies.

I hope it is appropriate to re-post my poster here, as two dear Sisters suggested. Of course I created it in Anne's memory - I hope that she would have liked and appreciated the tribute. Dear Anne, we will miss you terribly and think of you often. A beloved person is not truly gone as long as there are people left on this earth who remember them with fondness.
With love, Sabine xxx

My condolences to Anne's family on hearing such sad and shocking news... I may only join to those who said that she'd be very missed here on FS board by every one of us.

Hello everyone-- I have been remiss in not keeping up with you all for the last couple of years. Yet when I learned of Anne's passing via Facebook through Weedster and Drurylane, I was shocked and saddened. Because of my reaction, I realized the extent of the camaraderie here in spite of time and distance. My first thought was her immediate family and then whether anyone had posted here to her Firth Sisters family. My condolences and prayers to her family and all who knew her. And I hope you are all well and enjoying contentment and good health. Looking through the posts on this thread, I see how many of you are still here--fantastic! Lots of love-- Chris

I giggled when I re-read Anne's application to Firth Sisters back in 2009, she was unsure whether she should join because she wasn't very witty and didn't think she would post much, 12,847 posts later.... Anne was such a joy, I truly don't ever think she had an unkind word to say about anyone, unless you were a politician, that is. She was such an excellent sleuth when it came to Colin and hands down Queen of Twitter! As a manager here at FS, I have to say that I could never praise Anne enough for her contributions without her trying to play it down, but truly, she has been an integral part of Firth Sisters and we will all miss her terribly. We love you, dear Anne, I know you are with your husband now, healthy and happy and free! God bless, dear Tiggyl. oxo
