My fingers are shaking as I wirite this and I still can believe what I just learned:
Our dear Anne, known as tiggyl here passed away today. She was someone special and I remember so many nice chats we had. Unfortunately I never had the chance to meet her in person. I wish her family all the strength to go through that sad time.
Dear tiggyl, you will be missed tremendously. Rest in peace. Juliane

I reiterate all that Juliane wrote. Four of us had a lovely visit to Bath - I shared afternoon tea with her below the portrait of Mr. Darcy ! Anne will be greatly missed, deepest sympathy to all of her friends and family.

I can't believe this! It can't be true!
She's the most active member, an invaluable, essential contribution, how can we manage without her?
I feel out of my mind..

I can't believe that our Tiggyl has left us. I chatted with her February 18 because she had asked me to download some videos of Colin and we had joked. I'm so sad because I lost a friend even though I did not know her in person. Ciao Anne, we will miss you very much...

How did you all find out about it? How sure is this news?

How did you all find out about it? How sure is this news? Well, aureliabennet, I think we sure can believe that it's true. I learned the news from facebook where a friend of her put a missing-note to her fb-site. She wasn't seen in the last 24 hours. He then told that her daughters were on their way from Bristol to the town where Anne lived and some time later he told the sad news. He further told that he knew her a very long time and that their kids had grown up together. Well, I know Anne's family members names from fb but I won't bother them or any of her other close friends in order to find out what happened. I'm sure we will know more soon.

So sorry to hear this. She was a prolific poster, and had been a Colin fan for many years. I believe she was also very active in her church, and a very proud grandma. She will be missed.

I only found out about an hour ago and am totally devastated. Although we only met once - Firthie Girls Together (there is a thread somewhere about our meeting in Bath) - I felt very close to Anne. We shared the same illness - Grand Mal epilepsy - and had the same left wing political views. I last chatted to her on facebook on Friday at 0047. She must have died a few hours later. I can't believe it. Her facebook page is full of comments about the loving person she was, so generous and kind. I can't believe it. Dear Anne, Rest in Peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. I send them my deepest sympathies. www.facebook.com/annie.stieglitz/media_set?set=a.4242078588744.1073741838.1788986413&type=1

This is very sad and so unexpected. Anne/tiggyl was such a remarkable and generous fount of news on Colin. Deepest sympathy to her family and friends. Feeling shocked, although I never had the opportunity to meet her in person.

Dear sister's, I've just heard the horrible news that Anne has passed away over the week-end. I don't know anything more but hope we will hear more in the next few days. Was there ever a kinder soul? She was so lovely and obliging and never wanted to be a bother and you all know Anne's dedication to all things Colin. I found this photo on Anne's FB page, posted by Annie2shoes, for those who had never met Anne in person or online. I offer my condolences to all of you ladies who were close to Anne. She was a shining and precious gem. You will be missed terribly dearest, loveliest Tiggyl, rest in peace now, Anne. From Anne's Facebook page, posted by her daughter: From Annes family to all of her friends on Facebook. Thank you for your love and friendship. You made her life brighter. Unfortunately, she passed away this weekend unexpectantly. God Bless mum xx Please feel free to post your condolences for Anne, here...

Such a very dear and generous lady....Anne...how she will be missed. She brought us such joy and fun sharing her enthusiasm and great devotion to everything 'Colin'. I always looked forward to reading her posts on here and FB and chatting about mutual interests and topical subjects. We met up in Bath on a very hot day for a Firthie Jane Austen tour ... a very happy memory. Rest in peace now dear friend...you won't be forgotten. My condolences and thoughts and prayers to Anne's family...God bless them all at this very sad time.

I just heard the news a few hours ago, I am still in shock like the rest of you ladies, Anne was such a kind and giving person, never wanting to be a bother. I remember when she joined FS, in her letter, she wrote that she wasn't sure she should be a member because she wasn't very witty. I told her to join us and to just have fun. Well, it wasn't too long before she was the go to person for all Colin news! She will be missed greatly by her Firth Sisters!
