Some of you may be wondering why we are collecting for Oxfam, especially our lovely Newbies. It is because, for 7 years, Lisa dedicated months of her time creating the Oxfam Birthday Tribute to Colin Firth. The video I posted is simply a summary of how Lisa inspired Colin Firth fans to make wonderful Motivator posters, urging people to donate to Oxfam. In the 7 years, fans collected an enormous $43,000 dollars - no mean feat when we could only donate small amounts, particularly during the recession. I worked closely with Lisa on the last two years, setting up the 2 facebook pages. In all that time, I only experienced her generosity, good humour and kindness. She was an inspirational person to work for and we shall miss her very much. On facebook, she posted daily inspirational poems and thoughts. We should keep those forever in our hearts. If you would like to donate to Oxfam in Lisa's name, please visit our Memorial Page: lisa-pike.muchloved.com/frame.aspxI have uploaded a video on my youtube page as well as on the Memorial Page - in honour of Lisa's dedication and inspiration behind the 7 Oxfam Birthday Tributes to Colin Firth.

Colinnut/Lisa was such a giving person. She will be greatly missed. Thank you Lisa for all of your contributions to FS. I am thankful to have met her on FS. May you rest in peace. Sending sympathy, love and prayers to all of her close friends and family.

THANK YOU to all who have contributed - we now have £156 - $233.14 !!!!! There is still lots of time to contribute - with a candle, a thought, a story - or a donation to Oxfam!

And a great job it is Annie2! It's very touching. I'm sure Lisa's looking down on it from the pearly gates with love and appreciation.

Thank you, Miss Elizabeth - yes, Mr Darcy penetrates everywhere, into one's very soul, so Lisa should be feeling him!

It is New Years Day here in Australia and I have had 2 reminders of Lisa today. The first was when I was on fb I typed in a search and the first letter was L and Lisa Pike came up. The second was when I go to log off my tablet I play a game of solitaire and before starting it always goes to an app game, the game that came up today was Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz. Seems like a message from above. I really miss Lisa, especially at this time of the year. ? I have just had a third reminder. It is 5.50pm and while I was telling my dh about my Lisa reminders believe it or not but the next question asked on the quiz show we are watching was about Dorothy's shoes. 2 Dorothy and 1 Lisa showing is really special to me ?

Soon there will be one year since she passed away... Everybody said she was a very special lady with a great heart and everyone loved her - wish I had known her better, as the majority of FS ladies did... Saw the beautiful words that her friends wrote on Fb and am grateful to her for creating this lovely forum dedicated to ODB; her involvement in charity and Oxfam causes was so admirable - no doubt you miss her very much and have wonderful memories!

I must join drurylane and simona in their reminder of dear Lisa I miss her so much and I feel the same for dear Anne/Tiggyl I thank you, simona, for the great contribution to the board Notwithstanding yours and all sisters' commitment, I'm afraid the board will never be the same place any more without them and this feeling makes me even sadder:P

Two little lights have been switched off in the Firth Sisters constellation early last year and their brightness is really missed a lot !

She was a wonderful lady, never to be forgotten, I have no doubt she is still alive in spirit and here with us, her friends, no doubt she approves or smiles when she reads your posts and comments. Miss her a lot, but she met Tiggyl and Annie2shoes, somewhere on the yellow brick road in Heaven and they must be happy there...
